Beavers Blank Surf, Batterham Wins Thursday, July 7th , 2016 It was not a good day at the plate for the Kailua Surf. They came up empty when it mattered against Ontario Beavers right-hander Bill Batterham, who scattered 2 hits across 9 innings and held the Surf scoreless. "We had 2 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Kailua manager said later. Batterham chalked up 11 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 2-0 Beavers win.
