Pills Torpedoed by Fielding in 3-0 Loss to Berkeley
Tuesday, July 14th , 2015
Lonny Fielding bent a little, but he didn't break against the Medicine Hat Pills. The Berkeley Beacon pitcher hurled a 6-hit, 3-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 10 strikeouts.
"Lonny is good at getting out of jams," Beacon manager told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
To date this season, Fielding sports a 7-4 mark with a 2.52 ERA in 4 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .209 batting average and has 100 strikeouts in 85.2 innings.
