Jacks Lose to Fireballs in Walk Off Friday, June 20th , 2014 Phoenix Fireballs starter Arthur Wise pitched his team past the Kansas City Jacks, 4-0. Phoenix reliever Emmett Carter picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Jaime Román shouldered the loss. The win has Phoenix at 31-54. Phoenix won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Jaime Román on the mound for Kansas City, right fielder Luis Soto hit a dramatic grand slam home run, bringing Fireballs fans to their feet.
