Jacks Hold Off Angels, 4-3

Kansas City Jacks starter Jaime Román was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Los Angeles Angels, 4-3. Román went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 11. His record improves to 7-7. Ernesto Leal notched his 30th save in 35 chances.
Román came through for the Jacks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Kansas City leading 3-1, the pitcher hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 4-1, Kansas City.
Los Angeles manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The Jacks lead the Pioneer League North by 15 games.
