Lone Stars Advance to League Championship Series Saturday, September 20th , 2014 The HOU-R Lone Stars and SD-R Breakers didn't hold back anything in the Division Series, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the League Championship Series. HOU-R won the final game by a score of 6-1 at Chase Field and that concluded the series, 2-1. "Relief is the biggest thing," HOU-R shortstop Tim Morton said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and SD-R deserves credit for the hard fight." Morton paced the HOU-R offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .538 with a .571 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 3 runs. The HOU-R Lone Stars will play against the LB-R Ports in the next round. LB-R won their series against the POR-R Beavers 2 games to 0.
