Ports Heading to Rookie SOW Sunday, September 28th , 2014 BSBL Rookie League fans definitely got the battle they bargained for in this year's League Championship Series. The LB-R Ports have eliminated the HOU-R Lone Stars in the final game, by a score of 4-1, to advance to the Rookie SOW. Adam Hollingsworth was named series MVP and said he and his teammates are "fortunate and excited to have beaten a quality team like HOU-R." For the series, Hollingsworth had a 1.00 ERA over 18 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record. The LB-R Ports will play against the KC-R Jacks in the next round. KC-R won their series against the SNB-R Stallions 3 games to 2. The Rookie SOW schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. View Boxscore |
