Tuesday, October 20th , 2015
The future looks extremely bright for Francisco Ayala. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in BSBL Rookie League.
Ayala has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the BSBL R1 Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .360 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.
The SNB-R Stallions star also put up a .501 on-base percentage this year, with 140 hits, 33 doubles, 5 triples, 35 home runs, 111 RBIs and 101 runs scored.
He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ángel Mejía of the HOL-R Stars finished second in voting, while Timothy Grizzard of the MIN-R Millers finished third.
