Silver Sox Lose By a Run at Dallas

The Dallas Eagles beat the Reno Silver Sox, 4-3. Dallas pitcher and South Berwick, Maine, native Fred Davis led the way. Ray Gui was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 29 save opportunities. Reno now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
Rex Atkins had a big 3-run home run for the Eagles in the bottom of the third inning. With Dallas leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Yoichibei Ito and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Eagles on top, 4-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Atkins told the Dallas Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
