BSBL News Flash: Draft Pool Revealed

With the Big Sky Baseball draft only 110 days away, scouts across the league will have to finalize their priorities and focus hard on who they can realistically get. It's make or break time for these sabermetrical speculators, for they will ultimately be held to task if a "can't miss' player turns out to be a dud. League officials have made copies available for all league clubs in a new section of the Transactions page.
Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool for 110 days before the draft is held.
The early favorites to be high picks are the following:
1. Ron Heath, 21 year-old SS out of college.
2. Rich Moore, 18 year-old LF out of high-school.
3. António Torres, 18 year-old CF out of high-school.
4. Ethan Shaw, 18 year-old RF out of high-school.
5. Hank Snyder, 20 year-old SS out of college.
6. Gustavo Campos, 18 year-old SS out of high-school.
7. Alberto Ramírez, 21 year-old SS out of college.
8. Jaime Perea, 17 year-old 2B out of high-school.
9. Jon Whitaker, 21 year-old CF out of college.
10. Damon Dunn, 18 year-old 3B out of high-school.

CF Salcido Selects Reno's $5,000,000 Bid

29-year-old center fielder Jesús Salcido has inked a deal with Reno. Many baseball people question whether he is really worth $5,000,000 over 1 year.
However, the team thinks that Salcido will be a solid contributor this season.
Salcido has a lifetime .253 average and .363 on-base percentage in his career with 698 hits, 139 doubles, 28 triples, 137 home runs, 416 RBIs and 444 runs scored.
