Strip Earn Win with Late Rally
Homer third baseman José Díaz had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Díaz was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, even as Las Vegas beat the Yetis, 6-5, in 12 innings. Las Vegas, with the win, sits at 26-70.

Las Vegas needed the clutch hitting of Jorge Mendoza to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Strip on top, 6-5. For the game, Mendoza had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Mendoza. "But we got it done."
