Rainiers Suffer One-Run Loss at Sacramento
The Sacramento Ironhorse had to overcome a good performance from Seattle pitcher Pedro Romero to claim a 3-2 win at Ironhorse Stadium. Romero went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. David Williams notched his 17th save of the season. Their 54-50 record puts the Ironhorse second in the Pacific Coast League South.

Alan Maitland, who is tied for 8th in the CL in home runs with 21, helped out the Sacramento cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3.

Maitland called the win "a team effort."
