The Sacramento Ironhorse downed the Seattle Rainiers, 12-7, at Ironhorse Stadium. Clint Porter led the way, going 3-for-4 for Sacramento. Arthur Wise, the winner, improved to 9-7. He held Seattle to 3 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The second-place Ironhorse are now 56-50, the Rainiers 65-41.

Norberto Ramírez helped out the Sacramento cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Porter told the Sacramento Today.
