Noel Floyd did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the New Orleans Pelicans from being beaten, 8-4, to the Austin Cowboys at Higgins Park. Floyd went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Austin bumps their record to 59-49 with the win.

Austin used a clutch at-bat from Luis López to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cowboys ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Austin manager John Kolman.
