Seals Capture Extra-Inning Win

The San Francisco Seals did just enough to nip the Seattle Rainiers, 2-1, in 10 innings. San Francisco pitcher Cornell Jenkins, in particular, had a standout performance. Lee Graves, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-8. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. After today's action, San Francisco sits at 50-61, while Seattle falls to 67-42.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Juan Vázquez, who finished 5th in the CL in RBI with 96 last year, hit a run-scoring single. The Seals went on to win.
San Francisco manager Jamming Econo called it "a good, solid win."
