The Minneapolis Millers had to overcome a big game from Sacramento right fielder Alan Maitland to leave Nicollet Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 10-5. Maitland went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Minneapolis reliever Bennett Murphy got the win, raising his record to 3-1. David Williams was tagged with the loss. Minneapolis currently is in 5th place in the Pioneer League North at 53-63.

In the bottom of the sixth, Minneapolis left fielder Campbell Broomhead gave his team the lead. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Bigf hit his 24th double of the year. Sacramento pitcher David Williams surrendered it. With that, the Millers jumped in front, 5-4.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Broomhead said. "And the same is true when you lose."
