Aztecs Get Clutch Win, 6-5
The Mexico City Aztecs topped the Los Angeles Angels, 6-5, in Pacific Coast League action at Wrigley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mexico City pitcher Clyde Kelly. Roberto Díaz, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 0. Alfredo García was credited with the save for Mexico City, his 4th of the season.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Shane Cunningham to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aztecs on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Time to decompress after a tough win," said Cunningham.

The win brings the Aztecs to 6-11, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
