Rainiers Fall Short, 3-2, at Oakland
|
The Acorns grabbed a win, 3-2, at Oakland Ball Park, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Charlie Jackson. Jackson went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Acorns raised their record to 14-5.
Oakland took a 3-2 lead on Jorge Fernández's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Fernández hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Seattle pitcher Charlie Jackson visibly frustrated.
"We're trending in the wrong direction," said Seattle manager Ulrath Unclean.
