The Seattle Rainiers defeated the Portland Beavers, 6-3, in Pacific Coast League action at Sick's Stadium. Seattle pitcher Luigi Henderson had a standout performance. Kevin Banks, who finished 2nd in the CL in saves with 37 in 2010, earned the save for Seattle. The Rainiers, now 17-7, have been playing some good baseball.

Pat Franks had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Rainiers. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Seattle trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.

"Luigi made some big pitches when he needed to," said Rainiers manager Ulrath Unclean.
