The New Orleans Pelicans weathered an outstanding game by Hollywood third baseman José Guzmán to topple the Stars, 5-3. Guzmán went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Sergio Estrada went 7.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits. The left-hander struck out 5 and walked 1. With the win, he ups his record to 4-2 this season. Dan Williams closed it out for his 8th save.

New Orleans used the hitting of Noel Floyd to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Pelicans on top, 2-0. For the game, Floyd had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
