Jim Poole, who is tied for 8th in the CL with a .344 batting average, led Portland to a triumph over San Francisco. The final score was 7-4. The left fielder went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 4 RBI. Portland reliever Salvador Uribe picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jonathan Ivey was saddled with the loss. The victory puts Portland at 15-22.

Poole had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a double. The Beavers went on to win.
