Strip Squelch Cowboys Offense in Shutout Win
Las Vegas Strip starter Robert Bustamante pitched his team past the Austin Cowboys, 4-0. Bustamante got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 3 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The victory puts Las Vegas at 15-24.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Nick Pritchard was at the plate when Las Vegas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Strip to go in front, 1-0.

"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Las Vegas manager Charlie Donovan.
