Portland second baseman Mike Williams had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Williams was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Oakland beat the Beavers, 8-7, in 10 innings. Robinson Pérez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 6-2. The second-place Acorns now sit at 24-16.

The Acorns got a clutch hit from catcher John Adams. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Acorns.
