Robert Rice pitched well, but his team, the Homer Yetis, still dropped a 4-0 decision to the Reno Silver Sox at Alamo Park. Reno reliever Dani Gómez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Robert Rice took the loss. The Silver Sox, at 22-20, have now won 7 straight.

Hayden Reese had a big bases-clearing double for the Silver Sox in the bottom of the third inning. With Reno leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Robert Rice, who is tied for 6th in the PL in strikeouts with 50, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Silver Sox ahead, 4-0.

"This team is real focused right now," said Reno manager Zach Ames.
