Cruz Leads Stars to Win
The performance of José Cruz proved critical in helping Hollywood beat Seattle, 9-2. The Stars left fielder went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. At 26-17, the Stars are currently first in the Pacific Coast League South.

Marcos Garza had a big 2-run home run for the Stars in the top of the fifth inning. With Hollywood leading 4-2 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 38-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Domínguez and punished it. The result was his 11th home run of the season, which put the Stars on top, 6-2.
