The Oakland Acorns had to weather a strong performance from San Bernardino pitcher Bob Clifton before claiming a 3-2 win in 12 innings. Clifton went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Acorns go to 27-19, putting them second in the Pacific Coast League North.

Ramón Salcido came through with a big-time hit for Oakland. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Tough wins, hard-earned wins, feel extra good," said Salcido.
