The Hollywood Stars did just enough to sneak past the Austin Cowboys, 4-3, at Gilmore Field. Hollywood pitcher Luis Reyes, in particular, had a standout performance. Tom Walker earned the save for Hollywood, his 4th. Hollywood leads the Pacific Coast League South by 17½ games.

Hollywood took a 4-3 lead on Sergio Esparza's 15th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Esparza hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Austin pitcher Jorge Ayala visibly frustrated.

"Luis giving us the start that he did was huge," said Hollywood manager Scott B.
