Long Beach Hands Sacramento 5-2 Defeat
Long Beach pitcher Kyle Arnold did his part in helping his team defeat the Sacramento Ironhorse, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Jim Rogers closed the door for Long Beach, picking up his 21st save of the year. Long Beach, at 61-61, sits in third place in the Pacific Coast League South.

The Ports got a big at-bat from third baseman Nelson Romero. For the game, Romero was 1-5 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 10th triple of the season gave Long Beach a 2-0 lead.

"Kyle was Kyle," said Ports manager Jordan K. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
