The New Orleans Pelicans picked up a win at Higgins Park, dropping the Reno Silver Sox, 6-5, in 10 innings. Ray Alexander, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2005 draft, was the difference-maker. The third-place Pelicans have won 4 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by Noel Floyd in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off two-time All-Star Leonard Burton to win the game for New Orleans. The home crowd went nuts.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said New Orleans manager Day Breaker.
