San Francisco got a valiant performance from pitcher Edgardo García, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sacramento Ironhorse. Sacramento won the game, 3-2. García threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. David Williams, who finished 2nd in the CL in saves with 36 in 2012, was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-0. The losing pitcher was Lee Graves. The Ironhorse have now won 5 straight.

Sacramento got a knockout punch from Alan Maitland. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was rockin'," Maitland said.
