Stars Suffer One-Run Loss at Seattle
Despite a great performance by Hollywood left fielder José Cruz, the Seattle Rainiers defeated the Stars by the score of 7-6 at Sick's Stadium. Cruz was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The win belonged to Chris Porter in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Eddie Holland took the loss for Hollywood. Kevin Banks earned the save for Seattle, his 27th of the year.

Seattle took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Daniel Fernández hit a 2-run single to make it 7-5, Rainiers.

"We found a way to get it done," Fernández said.

Seattle, at 80-49, is 9 games up in the Pacific Coast League North.
