A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Houston Lone Stars and Minneapolis Millers.

The Houston Lone Stars downed the Minneapolis Millers, 5-1, at Nicollet Park. Stellar pitching by Larry Adams had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who led the PL in ERA with 2.18 in 2008, handcuffed his opponent all game. Houston has now won 4 in a row.

Adams scattered 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Lone Stars. With the win, Adams goes to 11-1 on the year with 97 strikeouts.
