Stallions Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Beavers, 7-3
|
The San Bernardino Stallions topped the Portland Beavers by a score of 7-3. Leading the way was left fielder Tom Huff. Huff was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Stallions. The Stallions go to 46-86 with the win.
Huff had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Scott Witt, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Stallions a 7-3 lead. It was the 24th home run of the year for Huff.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Huff.
