Kansas City starter Xu-gang Lau pitched well against the Salt Lake City Locusts at Arthur Bryant Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-6. Kansas City pitcher Mario Encarnación earned the win, hiking his record to 7-5. Mark Cahill suffered the loss. Kansas City's winning streak has reached 4 games.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Kansas City trailing 6-4, Lau jumped on a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Cahill and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Jacks had a walk-off win.
