Shawn Clark, who is tied for 2nd in the PL in complete games with 1, was brilliant in helping Salt Lake City beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 2-0. Mark Cahill closed it out for his 11th save. The defeat makes New Orleans 25-26.

Clark earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Salt Lake City. The native of Lancaster, South Carolina, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. New Orleans hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"Shawn is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Salt Lake City manager Nate McGinty.
