Silver Sox Get 5th Straight Win with Late Rally
The Silver Sox grabbed a win, 5-3, at Higgins Park, overcoming a fine effort from New Orleans pitcher Ray Alexander. Alexander went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Reno reliever Gabriel Ordóñez got the win, raising his record to 6-1. Will Adams was tagged with the loss. The save went to Leonard Burton, his 15th this season.

Reno needed the clutch hitting of Manuel Garza to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Silver Sox on top, 3-1. For the game, Garza had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Garza.
