8-2 Triumph Takes Sacramento to 39-25
The Sacramento Ironhorse topped the Reno Silver Sox, 8-2, in Pacific Coast League action at Alamo Park. The standout performance belonged to Sacramento pitcher and El Cercado, Dominican Republic, native Pedro Gabriel. The second-place Ironhorse improved to 39-25.

Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Iván Sánchez to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Ironhorse ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Pedro gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Sacramento skipper RR Zayx.
