The New Orleans Pelicans handed the Dallas Eagles a sound defeat, 13-1, at Higgins Park. Joe Sandoval was a main contributor to the win. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for New Orleans. The winning pitcher was fan favorite Pedro Hardy. He tossed 93 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The 5th-place Eagles dropped to 34-36.
Early in the game, Sandoval had a 2-run home run for New Orleans. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Pelicans on top, 2-0.
