The Sacramento Ironhorse topped the Los Angeles Angels, 5-4, in Pacific Coast League action at Wrigley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sacramento pitcher Dave Sackett. Sacramento pitcher Luis Rivera got the win. He's now 5-1. Clyde Overcash was tagged with the loss. The second-place Ironhorse go to 44-28.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Francisco Rivera was at the plate when Sacramento scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Ironhorse to go in front, 5-4.

"Dave was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Sacramento manager RR Zayx.
