Reno third baseman Otto Reed had a good game, even if his team did not. The Silver Sox dropped a 6-5 decision to Phoenix at Pyro Center. Reed was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Francisco Rivera picked up the win in relief for Phoenix, while Gabriel Ordóñez took the loss. Phoenix now owns a record of 40-33.

Phoenix went up, 6-5, on Geoffrey Foster's 24th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Foster hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Reno pitcher Gabriel Ordóñez shaking his head.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Foster told the Phoenix Daily News.
