The Denver Grizzlies got a great start from 35-year-old right-hander Miguel Valedón, as Denver won the contest, 11-6, at Jellystone Park. Valedón threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs in the win, which allowed the Denver to grab a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Sebastiano Elías helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run double. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-1, Grizzlies.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Valedón.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Jellystone Park in Denver.
