The Minneapolis Millers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 10-5, at Higgins Park. Leading the charge for Minneapolis was right fielder Juan Castro. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Picking up the win was Dave Stephens. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 2. The 4th-place Millers sport a record of 36-41.

Minneapolis left fielder José Vásquez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 92nd hit of the season and put the Millers ahead, 3-0.
