Steven Gardner left his imprint on the 7-6 Reno win against the Phoenix Fireballs. Gardner, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft, was 2 for 3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, Reno upped its record to 43-36.

Jesús Salcido came through with a big-time hit for Reno. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Reno manager Zach Ames.
