Yoichibei Ito, who is tied for 7th in the PL in wins with 8, never let the Lone Stars get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Silver Sox to a win, 2-0. Ito yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 8-1. The Silver Sox bumped their record to 44-36 with this win.

Tristan Veronese had a big run-scoring double for the Silver Sox in the bottom of the third inning. With Reno leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Ben Roberts, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in wins with 9, and swatted a double to center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Silver Sox ahead, 2-0.
