Ports Thwart Stallions, 3-2
|
The Long Beach Ports got a good effort from starter Johnny Clayton in defeating the San Bernardino Stallions at Tapatio Park. The final score was 3-2. Vic Sun recorded the save, making him 12 for 15. The 4th-place Ports now have a record of 39-42.
Larry Cuevas had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Long Beach. He came through with a 2-run single to put Long Beach in front, 2-1.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said San Bernardino skipper Brick B.
