Reno turned a fine outing from starter David Bright into a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at Alamo Park. The final score was 8-2. Bright, who is a two-time Platinum Glove Award winner, went the distance for Reno. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. The Silver Sox are now 43-39, while the Pelicans fall to 38-44.

Hayden Reese had a big 2-run double for the Silver Sox in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Reno leading 4-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Joe Sandoval, who is tied for 10th in the PL with a .377 on-base percentage, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Silver Sox ahead, 6-2.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Day Breaker.
