8 Straight Wins for Locusts

The winning streak continued for Salt Lake City.
Behind an impressive start by Jessie Downing, Salt Lake City beat Kansas City, 4-2. Irving Rose picked up his 5th save of the season.
José Salinas had a big 2-run home run for the Locusts in the bottom of the first inning. With Salt Lake City leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Morgan Hannah and swatted a home run to left. It was his 21st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Locusts ahead, 3-0.
"Jessie did a heck of a job," said Salt Lake City manager Nate McGinty.
Salt Lake City has won 8 consecutive games.
