Pelicans Topple Strip, 8-2, as Floyd Shines
Riding the 3-hit performance of the two-time Platinum Glove Award winner Noel Floyd, the New Orleans Pelicans stopped the Las Vegas Strip, 8-2. New Orleans pitcher Ray Alexander got the win, upping his record to 5-5. Robert Bustamante got the loss. With the win, New Orleans pushed its record to 50-34.

With New Orleans leading 5-0 in the top of the sixth, Floyd came up to bat against Las Vegas pitcher Jaime Ruíz. Floyd hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 15th home run of the season put the Pelicans on top, 8-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Day Breaker said.
