The Denver Grizzlies had no problem beating the Minneapolis Millers, 12-2, at Nicollet Park. Brian Carter, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in home runs with 24, led the onslaught. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for Denver. Denver starter Miguel Valedón was credited with the win after throwing 96 pitches over 7.2 innings. His record now stands at 10-2. Denver leads the Pioneer League North by 8½ games.

Carlos Mora had a big 2-run double for the Grizzlies in the top of the third inning. With Denver leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Ernesto Rivera, who finished 4th in the PL in wins with 17 in 2010, and swatted a double to left. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-0.

Minneapolis manager Bob T summed up his team's performance in one word: "Putrid."
