Lone Stars Topple Pelicans with Late Rally
The Houston Lone Stars beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 6-5, at Hogg Field. Houston first baseman Corey Hauser led the way. He went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. Houston reliever Rubén Rodríguez snagged the win, upping his record to 4-5. Dan Williams shouldered the loss. Houston is now 49-37, 3 games up in the Pioneer League South.

Jim Thompson was the walk-off hero for Houston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lone Stars catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It feels good to get this one," Thompson told the Houston Citizen.
