The Reno Silver Sox picked up a win at Alamo Park, courtesy of Yoichibei Ito. The right-hander helped his team stop the Salt Lake City Locusts, 3-1. Leonard Burton was credited with the save for Reno, his 2nd of the season. Reno sits at 4-6 in the early going.

Dave Shaffer had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Reno. He came through with a 2-run single to put Reno in front, 3-0.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Reno manager Zach Ames.
